The 3M Tegaderm 1624W is a transparent, waterproof frame-style dressing measuring 6×7 cm, sized specifically to cover a single CGM sensor. The film forms a sterile barrier that protects the sensor site from bacteria, viruses, blood, and other body fluids. Laboratory testing has confirmed the material stays intact and blocks viruses as small as 27 nm in diameter.
Unlike the larger 1626W version (10×12 cm), designed for bigger wounds or catheter insertion sites, the 1624W is compact — a perfect fit for a single Dexcom, FreeStyle Libre, or other CGM sensor. Its frame-style delivery system makes precise placement easier and reduces the risk of the film sticking to gloves, while adhesive spread across the whole surface, rather than just the border, gives the sensor a more secure hold through movement, sleep, and workouts.
The film stays breathable, allowing oxygen through and releasing moisture vapor so skin doesn’t feel smothered even when wearing the sensor for several days. Before applying, clean and dry the skin around the sensor, peel off the backing, and smooth the film outward from the center to the edges.

Thank you for taking an individual approach to customers and agreeing to sell the transparent film dressing individually — by the way, it’s the MOST COMFORTABLE of all the ones we’ve used: doesn’t cause irritation, holds securely on the skin, and because the whole film is adhesive, the sensor fixation is even more secure and it doesn’t shift, unlike patches that are only glued around the edge. Especially nice was the little gift! You’re the best!
