What you’ll need before you start

Before installing, make sure you have:

• An Android smartphone (version 9.0 or higher)
• A Dexcom G7 sensor (available at goodsugar.com.ua)
• A stable internet connection for registration
• A Dexcom account (or you can create one during setup)

Step 1. Download the Dexcom G7 app

• Open Google Play on your smartphone
• Search for “Dexcom G7”
• Install the official app from Dexcom, Inc.

⚠️ Make sure you’re downloading Dexcom G7, not Dexcom ONE+ or G6 — these are different apps.

Step 2. Sign up or log in to your Dexcom account

After opening the app:

• If you already have a Dexcom account — tap “Log In” and enter your email and password
• If you don’t — choose “Create Account” and fill in the form (name, email, diabetes type, country)

💡 Important for Ukraine: when selecting a country, choose “United Kingdom” — this affects your measurement unit settings (mmol/L).

Step 3. Choose your glucose measurement units

In your profile settings, select: mmol/L — the standard in Ukraine and Europe.

Step 4. Activate the Dexcom G7 sensor

• Attach the sensor to your skin (recommended site — back of the upper arm or abdomen)
• In the app, tap “New Sensor”
• Scan the QR code on the packaging or enter the serial number manually
• Wait about 30 minutes for the sensor to warm up — after that your first readings will appear

Step 5. Set up alerts

Proper alerts are a matter of safety. Recommended values:

Step 6. Connect Dexcom Clarity

Clarity is a separate section in the app and a web platform for analyzing your glucose data over 7, 14, 30, or 90 days. Very useful for preparing for a doctor’s visit.
