Step 1. Download the Dexcom G7 app

1. Open Google Play on your smartphone
2. In the search bar, enter “Dexcom G7”
3. Install the official app from Dexcom, Inc.

⚠️ Make sure you’re downloading Dexcom G7, not Dexcom ONE or G6—these are different apps.

Step 2. Sign up or log in to your Dexcom account

After opening the app:

• If you already have a Dexcom account — tap “Sign In” and enter your email and password
• If you don’t have an account — select “Create Account” and fill out the form (name, email, type of diabetes, country)

💡 Important for Ukraine: When selecting a country, choose “United Kingdom”—this affects the measurement unit settings (mmol/L).

Step 3. Selecting glucose measurement units

In your profile settings, select:

• mmol/L — the standard in Ukraine and Europe

Step 4. Activate the Dexcom G7 sensor

1. Attach the sensor to your skin (recommended location — the back of the upper arm or the abdomen)
2. In the app, tap “New Sensor”
3. Scan the QR code on the packaging or enter the serial number manually
4. Wait ~30 minutes for the sensor to warm up—after that, the first readings will appear

Step 5. Setting up alerts

Proper alerts mean safety. Recommended settings:

Step 6. Connecting Dexcom Clarity

Clarity is a separate section in the app and a web platform for analyzing glucose data over 7, 14, 30, or 90 days. It’s very useful for preparing for a doctor’s visit.

• Allow data synchronization
