The Dexcom G6 is the latest generation continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) system from Dexcom. Unlike previous generations, this CGM system is factory calibrated.

The system features an updated automatic one-touch applicator and a sleek, invisible transmitter. The Dexcom G6 sends glucose readings to your smartphone or Dexcom receiver every 5 minutes.
Dexcom G6 is indicated for patients aged 2 years.
How does the Dexcom G6 Continuous Glucose Monitor work?
- A small sensor is inserted under the skin using an automatic applicator. Users insert a tiny sensor wire just under the skin using an automatic applicator. An adhesive patch holds the CGM sensor in place so it can measure interstitial fluid glucose throughout the day and night.
- Your transmitter is sending data.
3. You receive updates and notifications.
The smartphone or receiver displays current glucose levels as well as sugar trends. Your smartphone or Dexcom receiver can be set to send special alerts when certain glucose thresholds are reached.
