Both systems have a built-in transmitter and last 10 days. G7’s main advantage is integration with insulin pumps, which ONE+ doesn’t have. Dexcom ONE+, on the other hand, is simpler to set up (no Country of Residence needed) and cheaper — a good choice if you don’t use a pump.

How long does a Dexcom G7 sensor last?
10 days, plus a 12-hour grace period for replacement — so effectively up to 10.5 days of continuous monitoring.
Do I need a separate transmitter?
No. Unlike Dexcom G6, the transmitter is built into the G7 sensor — you buy one device, and it’s fully ready to use.
Does it need finger-stick calibration?
No daily calibration is needed — the sensor is factory-calibrated. That said, calibration is still possible: if needed, you can enter a glucose meter reading in the app and the system will adjust its readings.
Does the Dexcom G7 app work in Ukraine?
Yes. The app isn’t available in Ukrainian app stores, but it can be installed using an account from another region. G7 also requires setting the Country of Residence — all the steps are in our guides: for iPhone and for Android.
Can I do without a smartphone?
Yes. Readings are shown on the Dexcom G7 receiver, which works on its own — no app and no UK Apple ID needed.
