To receive sensor data FreeStyle Libre 3 on Garmin Smartwatch or to any watch that connects to Juggluco:
1. Start the FreeStyle Libre 3 sensor using the official FreeStyle Libre 3 app and create a LibreLinkUp account by adding a follower (this can be you, but you will need to use a different email address).
2. Download the Juggluco app via the Androidaps documentation site and follow the instructions to get the FreeStyle Libre 3 sensor data into the Juggluco app.
3. Install the Garmin Connect IQ Store app on your phone and download the Kerfstok app.
4. If your Garmin watch is connected to your phone, open the Kerfstok app and select a watch face that shows the time, date, battery level, heart rate, glucose level, and glucose trend.
To get sensor data FreeStyle Libre 3 on Samsung Galaxy Smartwatch or other Wear OS watches, follow these steps:
1. Install the LibreLinkUp app and register as a follower in the FreeStyle Libre 3 app using a different email address than the one associated with your LibreView account.
2. Install the Gluroo Diabetes Logger app from the Play Store and link your FreeStyle Libre 3 sensor as a CGM data source to Gluroo.
3. On your Wear OS watch: Open the Google Play Store, find and install the Gluroo app, set the watch face to display glucose data from Gluroo.
To synchronize sensor data FreeStyle Libre 3 with Apple Watch:
1. Install the LibreLinkUp app and register as a follower in the FreeStyle Libre 3 app using the same process as for the Galaxy Watch.
2. Install the Gluroo Diabetes Logger app from the Apple Store and pair your FreeStyle Libre 3 sensor as a CGM data source.
3. Download the Nightguard app from the Apple Store, enter the Nightscout URL obtained from Gluroo in the Nightguard settings.
4. On your Apple Watch, set up the modular watch face with the Nightguard complication to view your glucose data. Please note that there may be a delay of about 5 minutes between the sensor readings and those displayed on the watch.
To synchronize the FreeStyle Libre 2 sensor:
1. Start by activating the sensor using the official LibreLink app.
2. After the warm-up time (1 hour), disconnect the sensor from the LibreLink application by turning off notifications in the application and Bluetooth connection in the Bluetooth settings. You may have to force close the application.
3. You can now scan the sensor with an app similar to xDrip (such as Juggluco, Diabox, or Shuggah) to activate real-time CGM functionality with the FreeStyle Libre 2 sensor.
4. It is important to note that these applications do not transmit sensor data to LibreView (except Juggluco). For a full schedule in LibreView, you still need to scan the FreeStyle Libre 2 sensor with the LibreLink app every 8 hours.
To synchronize sensor data FreeStyle Libre 2 with Garmin Smartwatch:
1. Download the Diabox application to your phone from the website diaboxapp.com.
2. Configure the application to transfer data to smart watches in the settings (settings > integrations > enable “data transfer to smart watches”).
3. Download the xDrip+/Spike/Nightscout watch face from the Garmin Connect IQ Store and install it on your Garmin watch.
4. Or download the xDrip+/Spike/Nightscout Widget or Datafield from the Connect IQ Store to view Libre2 data in a widget or during activity.
5. If you have a Garmin Edge bike computer, you can use the xDrip+/Spike/Nightscout Datafield feature to display Libre2 data on it.
To synchronize sensor data FreeStyle Libre 2 with Samsung Smartwatch:
1. Download the Diabox app from diaboxapp.com and configure it to transfer data to the GWatch.
2. Install the G-Watch Wear app on your phone and smartwatch, and select Diabox as the data source in the app settings.
3. Use the Wearable Widgets app with G-Watch Wear to display Libre2 data as a complication or tile on your Samsung Galaxy smartwatch.
To synchronize sensor data FreeStyle Libre 2 with Apple Watch:
1. If you are using European FreeStyle Libre 2 sensors, download the Shuggah app from the App Store to your iPhone and scan the sensor with this app.
2. Open the Watch app on iPhone: search for Shuggah and install it on your Apple Watch.
3. Once installed, you can access Shuggah on your watch among the application icons. When you tap the app, you’ll see your glycemic index and a trending arrow with Libre.
4. For more convenient access to glucose data, you can integrate the Shuggah logo as a complication on the modular dial.
5. To see real-time glucose data, set up the Shuggah app to create calendar events. Change the middle complication of the watch face to “my calendar” to see real-time sensor data.
Please note that the Shuggah app uses its own algorithm to calculate blood glucose levels, which may result in slight differences compared to Libre 2 readings.
If you are using FreeStyle Libre 2 sensors from the US, the Shuggah app will not work.
You can use the following method:
1. Install the LibreLinkUp app and register as a follower in the FreeStyle Libre 2 app using a different email address than the one associated with your LibreView account. After this step, you will have two separate accounts: one for logging into the LibreLink application (LibreView account) and one for accessing LibreLinkUp (LibreLinkUp account).
2. Install the Gluroo Diabetes Logger app from the Apple Store and link your FreeStyle Libre 2 sensor as a CGM data source to Gluroo.
3. Download the Nightguard app from the Apple Store and enter the Nightscout URL obtained from Gluroo in the Nightguard settings to view the sensor data in the app.
On Apple Watch, open and hold the modular watch face to access the settings. Select one of the complications, then select a Nightguard complication, such as “BG Values as Gauge” or “BG Values as Text”. When you tap on the Nightguard complication, you’ll be able to view the full glucose graph. It is important to note that there may be a slight delay of about 5 minutes between the readings of the FreeStyle Libre 2 sensor and the values displayed on the watch.
